A preflop chart is a 13×13 grid of every possible starting hand, coloured by the action a solver takes with it. This page collects 25 of them — opening ranges for every seat in 6-max and 9-max, big-blind defence, and push/fold Nash tables — all readable in the browser, free, with no signup and no email wall.
Every hand carries its expected value. The push/fold charts are not just red-and-grey pictures: hover any cell and you get that hand's EV in big blinds, straight from our own Nash solve. Most free charts show you the line but never the price.
The error bars are printed. Each push/fold table states its measured exploitability — how much a perfect counter-strategy could win against it. A chart that hides its own error is asking for trust it has not earned.

The grid is the standard way every solver and training site displays a range, and it is worth two minutes to learn properly. The diagonal, top-left to bottom-right, is the pocket pairs — AA in the corner, then KK, QQ, down to 22. Everything above the diagonal is suited (both cards the same suit): AKs, AQs, KQs. Everything below it is offsuit: AKo, AQo, KQo.
That layout is why ranges look like a wedge. Suited hands sit in the upper-right triangle and are far more playable than their offsuit twins, so a range eats into the upper triangle much deeper than the lower one. A5s can be a standard open from a seat where A5o is a clear fold, and on the chart you see that asymmetry immediately.
The colours are the action: solid means always take it, a muted shade means the hand is mixed — the solver takes that action only part of the time, and either choice is defensible. Grey is fold. On the push/fold pages a second colour marks partial-frequency jams.
One more thing the grid encodes for free: combination counts. Each pocket pair is 6 combos, each suited hand 4, each offsuit hand 12 — 1,326 in total. That is why "22+ is only 78 combos, about 6% of hands" while "any two offsuit broadways" is a much bigger chunk than it looks. Every percentage on this site is computed from those weights, mixed hands counted at their real frequency.
Your first decision of every hand: nobody has raised, you are first in. 100bb cash-game ranges — 16% from UTG in 6-max out to 51% on the button, because the number of players still to act behind you is the single biggest input.
You are in the big blind, someone raised, and you already have one big blind invested. Getting the price right here is worth more than almost any postflop skill, because the spot comes up every orbit.
Under about 15 big blinds, raise-fold stops making sense and the game collapses into one decision: all-in or fold. These are our own Nash solves for a 9-max table, from 8–20 big blinds, with per-hand EV.
Heads-up is where push/fold gets extreme — the small blind is already half-invested and only one player can call. Ranges here run from 5–25 big blinds, with both the jamming range and the calling range.
The other side of the all-in: someone has jammed and you are getting a price. Calling ranges are always tighter than the jamming range that faces them, and knowing the gap is what stops you from calling off with the wrong ace.

Solid colour means always take that action. A muted or mixed shade means the solver plays that hand more than one way — it takes the action only a fraction of the time, so either choice is acceptable. Grey means fold. On push/fold charts a second shade marks hands that jam at partial frequency rather than always.
Around 15 big blinds and below, and the shorter you get the more clearly it applies. The logic is simple: once a standard 2–2.5bb open commits a meaningful share of your stack, raise-folding burns chips you cannot afford, and shoving takes away your opponent's ability to play back at you with position. Between 15 and 20bb it is a mix — that is why we publish charts on both sides of the line.
No, and we would rather say so. They are our own chip-EV Nash solve using Monte-Carlo hand-class equity (25,000 samples, fixed seed), which means they approximate a simplified model of the spot. Every table prints its measured exploitability so you can see how far from perfect it is. The known simplifications — no ICM, no overcall modelling — are stated on each page.
Only the number of players still to act behind you, which is exactly what matters. A 9-max UTG has eight opponents left and opens very tight; a 6-max UTG has five. Note that the late seats are genuinely identical: cutoff, button and small blind in a 9-max game face the same players behind as in 6-max, so the correct range is the same chart — we deliberately do not publish duplicate pages for them.
The push/fold tables on this page are chip-EV: they answer "which decision wins the most chips". In a tournament, chips you win are worth less than chips you lose near a pay jump, which tightens calling ranges considerably — especially on the bubble and at final tables. Treat these as the baseline, then tighten calls when a pay jump is close.
Depends on the site — many poker rooms explicitly allow static charts while others ban all assistance during a hand, so check the rules of the room you play. Either way, charts do their real work off the table: the goal is to internalise the shapes until you no longer need to look.
Do not memorise cell by cell — learn the boundaries. For each seat, know the weakest suited ace, the weakest offsuit broadway, and the lowest suited connector you play; everything stronger is in. Then drill the hands that sit right on the edge, because those are the only ones you actually get wrong. That is exactly how our trainer builds its question bank.

Two reasons that compound. The obvious one is roughly 2–3 percentage points of raw equity from making flushes. The bigger one is playability: a suited hand flops flush draws and backdoor flush draws, which give you hands you can keep betting when the board misses your pair. That is why A5s opens from seats where A5o is a fold — the gap is much wider than the raw equity suggests.
Two different kinds of data live on this site, and they carry different confidence. The push/fold and call-off tables are solved in-house — a chip-EV Nash equilibrium over hand classes, Monte-Carlo equity, fixed seed, with the resulting exploitability measured and printed on each page. The cash-game opening and defence ranges are a curated GTO reference: they follow standard solver output closely but are not a solver dump, and their mixed frequencies are indicative rather than exact. We label which is which on every page rather than presenting all of it as one uniform "GTO" product.
